Double pointed needles (dpns) 5 mm if you do not want to knit with Magic Loop.

Gauge

10 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on size 8 mm needles

Yarn suggestions

The balaclava is perfect for knitting with scraps and leftovers and can be knit in many yarn combinations.

Example 1: The balaclava in the picture is knit holding 2 strands of Peruvian Highland Wool from Filcolana (120 g total) together with 2 strands of Tilia from Filcolana (25 g in total)
